Friar Tucks Pub in Cotati

My expectations weren't high based on previous reviews but it was St. Patty's day and my wife wanted a corned beef dinner. Friar Tuck's obliged with a very well prepared corned beef dinner with all the usual fixings (or so I'm told) and my burger was juicy and delicious, with fresh crisp veggies and a side of fries that were fried just right, not too soft but not too crispy. The atmosphere was rather eclectic with an extra helping of flat panel TVs, great for a pub. The staff were very nice, despite what was certainly one of their most stressful days of the year. Only thing I can complain about was I ordered a whiskey and Coke and they brought me a whiskey sour (I'm sure they would have corrected it though had I cared enough to say something).

Great food. Portions are huge. Prices are great You get a platter not a plateful Go hungry and fill up.

Great to go to on Thursday nights. Bartenders, drinks, and people are great!

Small place could use updaying. Mostly a college student place to hang out at

Karaoke on Fridays. Pool tables. Out door areas.

I love this place!! It is always so fun on Thursday nights! It does get packed but if you're looking for a college night atmosphere, this is where it's at. Super awesome and friendly staff. Great food and drinks. I've never had a bad experience ❤

The bartender Melissa was the friendliest one I have met in a long time. She was very attentive and outgoing I have ever met. I will definitely go back to see her whenever she is working. The food was ok.

Great little pub! Good prices on beer and food - never to packed that you feel overwhelmed.

Cops patrol inside during operating hours. That should give you a hint about the clientele.

I went tonight (04/05/19) and the "security" guy was not letting me in because he thought my ID was fake (it was a Washington ID) so without telling me he called the cops and I had 4 "undercover cops" on me retaining me in front of everyone 🤣🤣 I have nothing to hide but a lot to laugh about it. That's what I told them. I'M 25 years old. You guys should educate a lot more your security personnel about how to identify fake IDs because that is not a good experience for a good customer. The cups searched everything on my wallet thinking they were gonna find something but of course they just found themselves doing a stupid show. You guys lost a good customer and not recommending you with anybody.

Friendly staff, pool tables, a couple of patios and a whole lot of space to move around in the different areas.

DJ was fire, drinks were excellent and overall ambience was great.

Fun place. Thursday night staple. Bloody Marys were awesome!

They offer a fantastic variety of delicious food. I like dining here. Employees are always welcoming, rates are convenient and the spot is always neat.

If you come for karaoke, make sure to bring your ID! The security is super diligent, and good thing too in a college town.Once you're in, the energy is great, the bartenders are amazing, the drinks are about average price for the area.As a karaoke joint goes, you could do far worse. Pop in if you're in the area

It's a good Karaoke bar, but not my favorite, I think the best thing about Friar Tucks is Spankys next door

They weren't a bad pub but it's nothing to call home about

This is a really good place to go on Sundays during football season. They have all the games on and good beer on tap. I think they also do some sort of brunch buffet thing.

Love the karaoke on Friday nights! But the long islands just taste like a lot of lemons and booze.

The cheese steak sandwich is amazing. A bit of heat to it so be warned. The staff is awesome. Always checking in and quick with their service. Great place for a quick bite.

Been going to this place for years! Love the atmosphere, the people that work there and their food! Friars is always a great time if you are looking to have a drink and good time in cotati.

College bar. Was a great bar untill they started catering to the college kids. They beat up the pool tables and nobody cares about anything but money. Tabitha is a darn good bartender!!! I'm 45 years old and I would never hang out here. They love you until the college kids come in.

This is a great bar with friendly staff and amazing food. There is also a good amount of pool tables and a dart board to enjoy while your there. Definitely one of the better bars in the area

Really young crowd the saturday i went. Loved the bartender outside and the guy taking food orders at the side window. The KJ was really nice and the crowd was fun and interactive with the singers. Downfall is that it does get really crowded and the younger crowd tends to walk in cursive a lot so ya get run into. Over all a pleasant experience and would go again.

I love friar tucks, the staff is always so nice. They make you feel like family. My husband and I used to go on sundays for for football. Sometimes we take the kids for Sunday breakfast. So fun. Usaully waffles, eggs bacon or sausage. Fun bunch. I recently visited for my daughters volleyball fundraiser, and like always had a good time.

Young crowd, rowdy for no reason. Food is pretty good, I get the poppers.

Stopped in for an early dinner. Husband ordered the dark stout Death & Taxes, and the fish & chips. I ordered the ABLT with fries and a Coke. Portions are large here! Hubby sez fish n chips were alright. The sammy I ordered came with 4 thick slices of bacon, a whole sliced avocado, lettuce & tomato on a thick sliced roll grilled with Gilroy garlic butter. It was huge! No way I could eat it like a pick-up samdwich, so I ate it deconstructed. It was delicious. Bartender was friendly amd efficient. Def a great place to stop for refreshment on a road trip.

They have a beer pong tournament every Tuesday with free entry. Their was a great turn out and a lot of energy. Will definitely be back again!

Friars has always been one of my favorite pubs to visit. They have a very nice bar friendly people and great service. We hosted an event there and they were super accommodating with plenty of room for everyone. Kids are welcome all the way up to 9 pm so great for family functions. They also have some pretty good pub grub.
